Abstract Guidelines

CRCA-2025 — Submission & Presentation Guidelines

Conference dates: 21–22 November 2025 — International Convention Centre, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, India

1. Abstract Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit concise abstracts describing original work relevant to the conference theme. Submissions should follow the format and limits below.

Required information

  • Title of the paper
  • Name(s) of author(s)
  • Affiliation(s) and contact email

Formatting

  • Title: maximum 50 words
  • Body: maximum 300 words (concise background, methods, key results, conclusion)
  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12, single spacing

Note: The presenting author must register for the conference. Abstracts will be peer-reviewed and authors will be notified of the outcome by email.


2. Poster Presentation Guidelines

Poster sessions will provide an opportunity to present results and discuss with peers and judges. Posters should be designed for clarity and visual impact.

Poster size & logistics

  • Recommended size: 4 ft × 3 ft (vertical × horizontal).
  • Mounting and removal times will be communicated in the program — presenters must adhere to these times.
  • Bring printed posters and any handouts you wish to distribute.

Judging criteria

  • Visual components: clarity, layout, legibility, appropriate use of figures/tables, and avoidance of text overload.
  • Presentation: presenter’s ability to explain the work, discuss literature, and answer questions.
  • Relevance & impact: significance of the study, relationship to other work, and potential implications.
  • Problem framing & methods: clarity of research question, originality, and suitability of methods.
  • Interpretation: clarity of conclusions and whether they are supported by data.

Posters will be judged by experts. Please ignore these guidelines if you are not presenting a poster.


3. Oral Presentation Guidelines

Oral presentations will run in dedicated sessions and will be evaluated by a panel of experts for scientific merit, clarity, and presentation skills. Adhere strictly to time limits and follow the session chair’s instructions.

Presentation duration (time limits)

  • Young Faculty Category: 10 minutes total (8 minutes presentation + 2 minutes discussion)
  • Young Scientist Category: 8 minutes total (6 minutes presentation + 2 minute discussion)

Presentation format & logistics

  • Use PowerPoint (.ppt / .pptx) format. Ensure fonts and images are embedded.
  • Slides should be clear and professional; avoid excessive text.
  • Send your presentation on email/google drive as instructed by the organisers 2 days before presentation day.
  • Bring your presentation on a USB drive and arrive early to upload and check compatibility.

Evaluation criteria

  • Content & scientific quality: originality, clear objectives, robust methodology, and appropriate conclusions.
  • Organization & clarity: logical flow, clear explanations, and good use of visuals (figures/tables).
  • Delivery & presentation skills: confident, clear pacing, audience engagement, and effective response to questions.
  • Relevance & impact: alignment with conference themes and potential contribution to the field.

Presenters are strongly encouraged to rehearse to keep within the allotted time. Judge's decisions are final.


4. Prof. A. R. Rao Young Scientist / Research Award

About the award

This prestigious award commemorate the contributions of Prof. A. R. Rao to cancer chemoprevention research. They recognize outstanding young researchers whose work demonstrates scientific excellence, originality, and potential impact in cancer prevention, biology, or intervention.

Eligibility & selection

  • Open to early-career researchers and young faculty working in cancer-related fields.
  • Selection is based on quality of research, originality, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the theme.
  • Nominees are selected from the abstracts submitted for the conference as per the submission instructions.

How to apply

  • Submit the abstract through the conference submission portal and indicate award interest in the form.
  • Attach a one-page CV highlighting key publications and contributions.
